the EMR and other sources.Additionally, a comprehensive clinical view of each

ability to impact the health and wellness of our patients," adds Deborah Kohaut,
Executive Director of Vista.
The point-of-care registry and decision support system promotes guideline
compliance and serves as a collaboration platform to share information from
multiple sources across a network.Provider friendly point of care work flows
drive proactive care and provide valuable clinical information that can be
shared in real-time with the patient - engaging them in their own care.In
addition to ensuring optimal care during each office visit, sophisticated logic
embedded in the program`s automated work queues support the entire physician`s
office in providing timely needed care through out the year to proactively
improve their patients`health and well being.

Vista Health System Selects MedVentive Technology To Make a Difference in the Quality of Patient Care
Innovation Takes the Principal Financial Group (Once Again) to a Top Spot on the InformationWeek 500
DES MOINES, Iowa--(Business Wire)--
For the 12th consecutive year, the Principal Financial Group®
has taken a top spot on the InformationWeek 500, a prestigious list of the
most innovative users of technology in the United States. This year The
Principal® ranked 33rd out of 500 innovative companies.
"The Principal is honored to be recognized again for technology innovation. We
attribute this success to our world class employees, and their application of
creativity, initiative, skills and knowledge of technology to our business in a
meaningful way," said Gary Scholten, senior vice president and chief information
officer of the Principal Financial Group.
Contributing to the company`s most recent InformationWeek recognition is the
development of the Geo-Business Impact Tool (G-BIT), which was conceived and
custom-developed by the Principal Financial Group. A leading-edge application in
the financial services industry, G-BIT is a Web application that links a
geographical information system, enabling the user to select any area on a map
and access a spreadsheet or report for that location. This includes details such
as the number of employees in a particular location, and customer account data
for that specific area across all lines of business.
Key benefits of the implemented system were realized immediately. During the
Midwest floods of 2008, G-BIT was used to obtain a comprehensive list of company
locations, employees and customers in affected areas so The Principal could
quickly reach out with offers of assistance. G-BIT was also used in advance of
Hurricane Ike and during wildfires in California.
"Year after year, InformationWeek 500 companies harness technology to improve
efficiency, boost productivity, drive revenue and establish a competitive
advantage," said Rob Preston, editor-in-chief of InformationWeek. We applaud
this year`s winners, and the CIOs and other executives whose ingenuity and risk
taking are at the center of business technology innovation."
2009 tech-savvy tools: iGoogle and text messaging
This latest accolade comes soon after the launch of two new technologies which
allow retirement plan participants the option to receive certain account
information via email or text messages and their personal iGoogle home pages.
First available in mid-May, the use of these technologies is exceeding goals.
Within the first three months of the launch, nearly 14,000 participants added
the gadget to their iGoogle home page. And nearly 8,500 participants had signed
up to receive e-mail or text messages from The Principal.
"We`re reaching out to our participants on their terms, and hoping to cut
through the clutter by doing so," said Danelle Kronmiller, assistant director of
marketing for The Principal. "This is a true example of how technology is
helping to meet an emerging business need, with measurable results."

Envelope-Free ATM Platform Hailed for Ground-Breaking Technology and Increased
Customer Convenience
SAN FRANCISCO--(Business Wire)--
Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC) has been recognized in the Information Week
500 as the #4 innovative company for delivering advanced technology products and
services that make it easier, faster and more convenient for customers to
conduct their financial transactions.
"This honor is a testament to the talent and dedication of our many team members
and the partnership between the business and technology teams," said Avid
Modjtabai, head of Technology and Operations. "Also, it is significant because
it demonstrates our commitment to develop innovative technologies to benefit our
customers and help them succeed financially."
One example noted by Information Week includes the company`s wide-scale rollout
of its next-generation Envelope-Freesm ATM platform. By using Envelope-Free
ATMs, customers don`t need to write on an envelope or key-in a deposit amount.
Once customers insert money into the ATM slot (up to 50 bills in different
denominations), the machine sorts and counts the bills and verifies the amount.
Customers can also deposit stacks of up to 30 checks into the machine at one
time, and the Envelope-Free ATM automatically reads the amounts and adds up the
deposit. The ATM converts the paper checks into digital images, which appear on
the ATM screen and on the receipt. Additionally, customers can get immediate
credit for cash deposits, and checks deposited on business days before 8 p.m.
are considered received on the same day.
By using Envelope-Free ATMs to make deposits, customers have helped saved more
than six thousand trees so far, according to estimates from the Environmental
Defense Paper Calculator.
"Wells Fargo`s ATMs are an important part of our strategy to deliver excellent
service to our customers when, where, and how they want," said Jonathan Velline,
head of ATM Banking and Store Strategy. "With this in mind, we`re committed to
offering customers a convenient, personalized, interactive experience through a
network that is completely integrated with our other customer channels - Wells
Fargo stores, wellsfargo.com and Wells Fargo Phone BankSM."
The InformationWeek 500 annual award spotlights the power of innovation in
information technology among the top 500 companies in the United States.

Online Investing Firm Recognized for Use of Technology to Enhance Customer
Service
ST. LOUIS--(Business Wire)--
Scottrade (www.scottrade.com), a leading branch-supported online investment
firm, today announced that it placed on the 2009 InformationWeek 500, an annual
listing of the nation`s most innovative users of business technology.
Scottrade was recognized for its work in implementing Web 2.0 technology that
improved associate efficiency, decreased costs and transformed corporate
culture. Embracing a variety of communication tools, the firm replaced its aging
Intranet with an innovative solution that enables associates to easily publish,
update and share information.
Scottrade, which has about 2,700 associates and more than 425 branch offices
nationwide, is a rapidly-growing firm that relies on information technology for
the core of its business. Since the adoption of the new system, the speed of
publishing new content on the internet has increased by 300 percent and valuable
IT resources have been freed up. As a result, every Scottrade associate - from
headquarters to any of the firm`s branch offices - became better equipped to
give customers quicker access to the most up-to-date information and
applications available.
"Keeping informed of changes in the financial services industry is crucial, and
the successful implementation of our new user-friendly Intranet resulted in an
improved overall customer experience at Scottrade," said Ian Patterson,
Scottrade`s Chief Information Officer. "Being listed among the top technology
innovators speaks to the devotion Scottrade associates give not only to
innovation, but to providing the best experience possible to the customers we
serve every day."
Some highlights of Scottrade`s new intranet are:
* The redesign process incorporated continuous employee feedback, resulting in a
90 percent adoption rate on the first day.
* The home page serves as the Corporate Communications hub ensuring all
associates receive the same information.
* Specific regions of the home page, such as "My View" or "My Apps," can be
customized based on an associate`s role or function..
* Wikis and blogs enable associates to quickly update policies and procedures
and publish their own content.
This is the third consecutive year the firm has been ranked as a leader in the
InformationWeek 500. Last year, Scottrade made the list for its state-of-the-art
MPLS (MultiProtocol Label Switching) technology that increased bandwidth at most
of the firm`s branch offices by more than 600 percent. This enabled associates
to more effectively stream and download data when assisting customers with
online tutorials and product or service demonstrations.
"For over 20 years, the InformationWeek 500 has honored the most innovative
users of business technology," said InformationWeek Editor-in-Chief Rob Preston.
"Year after year, InformationWeek 500 companies harness technology to improve
efficiency, boost productivity, drive revenue, and establish a competitive

TOPICS
Celebrating its 10th anniversary with a new message of, "Challenge! Aiming to

over fifty-year history beginning with the first Television and Radio Parts Show
in 1958, predecessor of the Japan Electronics Show, the 2000 integration with
COM JAPAN to create CEATEC JAPAN represented an important step forward for this
comprehensive trade show.
And in commemoration of CEATEC JAPAN`s 10th anniversary, the Organizing
Committee has created a new message, "Challenge! Aiming to better people`s lives
and create a low-carbon society", to highlight the measures being taken to
combat global warming as well as activities of the IT & electronics industry in
relation to the "Green IT" theme. And as a special event this year, the
Organizing Committee will work together with NEDO (New Energy and Industrial
Technology Development Organization) to establish the Green IT Pavilion to
introduce the latest leading-edge energy conservation technologies of Japan,
which has become a leading force in the world for the creation of a low-carbon

products and introduce energy conservation technologies from various
corporations. A symposium will be held simultaneously with this event and an
international conference, which will invite government officials and Green IT
related personnel from Asian countries to participate, will also be held in
commemoration of CEATEC JAPAN`s 10th anniversary.

the world from a number of speakers, starting from Tuesday October 6th with

until Friday, October 9th, 2009.
At this year`s event, conferences and discussions to commemorate the 10th

are being highly anticipated. What`s more, the Green IT Symposium will be held
inside of the CEATEC JAPAN venue, where lectures by government and research
organizations on topics such as the latest Green IT trends overseas will be
presented.
Various seminars will be held including Special Sessions, Trend Sessions, and
Advanced Sessions, where the latest industry trends can be reviewed. Technology
seminars with themes such as Software & Solutions, Information Systems,
Communications Networks, and the Exhibitor Seminar, where exhibitors introduce
technologies, products, services, etc., will also be held. And altogether,
approximately 150 seminars are scheduled to be held.
High expectations for innovations in video, broadcasting, and communications
technologies (at the Digital Network Stage)
At CEATEC JAPAN`s Digital Network Stage, the high expectations of visitors will
be answered with exhibits showcasing trends such as the continually growing
market and technological innovations of thin-screen TVs moving toward the
complete shift to terrestrial digital broadcasting, next-generation content
reproduction technology useful for various applications, and the latest in 3D
image technology that is expected to rapidly evolve to a practical level and
fundamentally change the way motion pictures are enjoyed.
Other attention-getting technologies that visitors will be able to enjoy include
the viewing of Web-compatible IPTV and related services as well as experiencing
the ultra high-definition theater at the NHK/JEITA Digital Broadcasting Plaza
(tentative name). What`s more, great interest is expected for the
information-communication devices that combine leading-edge technologies and new
infrastructural services. At the HATS PLAZA (organized by the HATS Conference),
the latest in information-communication technologies will be on display and
various network interconnection products will be introduced. Additionally, a
wide range of devices and services designed to make daily life more convenient
for the handicapped and/or elderly will be on display at the Accessibility PLAZA
(organized by Inter-communication Access Council).
The next-generation, high-speed mobile communications technologies expected to
garner lots of attention include the WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for
Microwave Access) and the LTE (Long Term Evolution) using the 3.9G mobile phone
standard (3GPP Release 8). The latest in network standards such as NGN (Next
Generation Network), PLC (Power Line Communication) and DLNA (Digital Living
Network Alliance) will also be on display to allow visitors to get hands-on
experience.
Take full advantage of business opportunities offered by world-class
technologies such as Japan`s Monozukuri (at the Electronic Components, Devices &
Industrial Equipment Stage)
Electronic components and devices that support the rapid growth and development
in digital information applications, car electronics, amusement equipment,
mobile PCs, mobile phones, communications networks, etc., will be on display at
the Electronic Components, Devices & Industrial Equipment Stage. Helping to
realize trend-setting products that are smaller and slimmer, high-performance or
low-profile parts and cutting-edge technologies, as well as a host of other
electronics technologies used in a wide variety of industrial fields will be
introduced. Technologies used by both the automotive and construction industries
that realize carbon dioxide emission reductions and offer increased
heat-resistance and high durability will also be displayed.
The Electronic Components, Devices & Industrial Equipment Stage at CEATEC JAPAN
is where world-class technologies such as Japan`s Monozukuri can be seen at one
location and it represents an excellent venue for creating business
opportunities. This stage will also help to enhance the promotion of the IT &
electronics industry to local governments throughout the country, while exhibits
at the NIPPON Innovation Plaza will introduce local corporations and create a
new meeting place for business transactions.
Experience the new world of content and services
Digital products connect to networks through digital convergence, while content
and service help to expand markets through platforming and in light of these
developments, the Life Contents Frontier (a part of METI`s 2008 International
Contents Market Reinforcement Activities) will showcase the growing role that
content is playing in communications between people.
The Content Experience Zone will also enable visitors to experience different
ways of enjoying media centering on movies, 3D movies, and music entertainment
software as well as IPTV, Blu-ray, and more. Additionally, a "listening room"
will be made available to allow visitors to experience superior sound
reproduction, which is an important aspect of video content.
CEATEC JAPAN will further strengthen its status as a business tradeshow
Significant growth in a number of diverse technological fields has lead JEMA
(The Japan Electrical Manufacturers` Association) and JBMIA (Japan Business
Machine and Information System Industries Association) to participate in CEATEC
JAPAN as associate support organizations. Invitations provided to visitors by a
variety of organizations and industry-related companies will further strengthen
CEATEC JAPAN`s relationship with business users. By selecting stimulating themes
and actively promoting the distribution of information as well as holding new
Technical Seminars that correspond to the selected themes during the show, it is
anticipated that more engineers will visit CEATEC JAPAN.
Entry fee not necessary for visitors on Saturday (October 10th)
As there was a significant increase in requests to hold the show on a Saturday,
this year`s CEATEC JAPAN will be open on that day to accommodate those who are
too busy to attend the show on weekdays, or who may have already visited once
but want to repeat the experience. And to make things more convenient, there
will be no entry fee on Saturday, October 10th.
CEATEC JAPAN will provide interesting events to encourage children and students
who make up the next generation of visitors to participate. These events include
